What To Bring

WHAT TO BRINGSuggestions on what to bring on your trip:

  • Luggage weight cannot exceed 50lbs. for one checked bag. One additional carry-on is allowed.
  • Passport (required for travel to the Dominican Republic – allow 8 - 12 weeks for processing)
  • Bible Journal and pen
  • Camera/Video
  • Flashlight
  • Drink container in a zip-lock bag
  • 21 plastic plates, forks, knives, spoons
  • Coffee, tea, sugar, cream (if you use it) - Note - coffe is provided for breakfast meal
  • Snacks
  • 2 twin size sheets
  • Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer
  • Dress: Gentlemen: Dress shirt, pants, shoes for church services Ladies: Dress/skirt/culottes, shoes for church services (conservative shorts, short sleeve shirts for outside compound) For construction: Work gloves, hat, shoes, pants/shorts, shirts Swim Suit (appropriate for a conservative culture)
  • 2 towels, wash cloth, soap and shower shoes
  • Personal toiletries
  • Insect Repellant

  • Pepto-Bismol & anti-diarrhea tablets
  • Spending Money (for church offerings and souvenirs) (dollars will be converted to local currency in DR)

Do not bring: Anything you would be worried about loosing or upset if damaged during travel
