VILLAGE CARE
MGM short term missions groups visit Haitian Villages daily in coordination with our other missions (medical, dental, optical, sports, etc). We visit these same villages with various supplies based on the needs of the people. Everything from clothing and shipped from the US to yarn for crocheting.
It's simple... ...Village care is sometimes as simple as crackers and peanut butter...
As we distribute supplies missionaries roam the village handing out crackers with peanut butter. Not only is this a great source of protein, it is a magnet for children. They come out of their homes and visit with our missionaries.
build a relationship.
The people of the village are extremely grateful. Over time, and many visits to the same village, the people develop a trust with our missionaries. In turn they are much more receptive to the gospel message. Spanish bible tracks and bibles are distributed to those who express and interest. We also work with the pastor of the villages to arrange for evening church services with M-G-M missionaries.
