Thanks to all who have donated glasses (new
& used) and monetary donations. We now have a complete set of in-field equipment. Please continue to collect
used glasses! We need to restock! Over 650 prescription
glasses were distributed in Hato Mayor, DR in January along with
145 of pair of sunglasses. The Optical Ministry is expanding again! There will be
Optical clinics in January, March and June of 2009 both in LaVega & Hato Mayor, DR. We are always looking for optical
professionals, especially an
ophthalmologist who would be willing to travel to the Dominican
Republic in January of 2009.
We also need volunteers year round.
Gathering of used glasses, cleaning, repair and reading of
prescriptions.
These tasks can be done from anywhere (not just in Erie).
Of course, it's always more fun to do as a group!
